1. Data we collect
When you use nga.li, we may collect:
- Click analytics — country, city, device type, browser, OS, referrer (no raw IPs stored — IPs are hashed with a site-specific salt)
- Account data — username, email, hashed password (Argon2ID)
- Short links — the destination URL and creation metadata
2. How we use it
- Providing and operating the link shortening service
- Showing click statistics to link owners
- Rate limiting and abuse prevention
3. GeoIP
We use third-party GeoIP services to determine the approximate location (country/city) of link visitors. Your IP address is sent to these services but is not stored on our servers — only the resulting location data is saved, in anonymised form.
4. Cookies
We use a session cookie for login state and a lang cookie for your language preference. No third-party tracking cookies are set.
5. Data retention
Click data is kept for as long as the link exists. Deleting a link removes all associated click data. You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
